The festival is part of the Sturgis Rally’s 70th anniversary celebration and is held between Aug. 9 and 13.

Fellow headliners the Stone Temple Pilots, Godsmack, Creed and 3 Doors Down will be joining Alice in Chains, each band playing a different night.

Other bands that have been confirmed for the festival include Wolfmother, Eagles of Death Metal, Pop Evil, Swayback, the Darling Stilettos, Hinder and Cage the Elephant.  Jim Rose Circus is the Master of Ceremonies.

Fans were happy to see the boys back in action regardless of the new edition of lead singer Willium DuVall.  Even though the dynamic of the band has changed, they still rock like Alice In Chains and there is definitely more to come!

AIC will be taking to the road this fall for their Blackdiamondskye Tour with fellow rockers Mastadon and the Deftones!  The tour is scheduled to kick of September 16 in Chicago.  Fans can check out blackdiamondskye.com for a complete list of cities, updates, giveaways and more!

This is their seventh Grammy award nomination for ‘Best Hard Rock Performance,” and their first nomination since the 2002 death of lead singer Layne Stanley.

The group was first nominated in 1992 for “Man in the Box,” along with “Dirt” in 1993; “I Stay Away” in 1995; “Grind” in 1996; “Again” in 1997; and “Get Born Again” in 2000.

The 52nd annual Grammy Awards air at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 31 from the Staples Center in LA, Calif.

The rockers, who reunited to tour for the first time in 2006, have been working on this album for the past three years. They searched inside for their demons – including those that claimed former lead singer Layne Staley’s life after a 2002 drug overdose.

While the group began performing together with no plans to record, they found that hitting the road again really got their creative juices flowing.

The album was released on September 29th.
