Alice in Chains snags Grammy nomination
Alice in Chains has been nominated for a Grammy Award for ‘Best Hard Rock Performance.’ Their song “Check My Brain” will be competing against other big-name groups like AC/DC, Metallica, Nickelback and Linkin Park.
This is their seventh Grammy award nomination for ‘Best Hard Rock Performance,” and their first nomination since the 2002 death of lead singer Layne Stanley.
The group was first nominated in 1992 for “Man in the Box,” along with “Dirt” in 1993; “I Stay Away” in 1995; “Grind” in 1996; “Again” in 1997; and “Get Born Again” in 2000.
The 52nd annual Grammy Awards air at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 31 from the Staples Center in LA, Calif.
